Litigation Legal Secretary – Beverly Hills

One of Beverly Hills’ most prestigious and established law firms is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Secretary to join their high-performing team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Type and proofread various documents, including correspondence, memos, agreements, contracts, and other related materials.
  • Format briefs, pleadings, and other legal documents.
  • eFile legal documents in Local, State, and Federal Courts.
  • Transcribe and proofread legal documents; accurately file documents with the court ahead of deadlines.
  • Process third-party and vendor invoices.
  • Arrange travel for attorneys.
  • File, organize, scan, copy, and fax legal documents promptly.
  • Answer phone calls, take notes/messages, and redirect calls as appropriate.
  • Schedule court depositions, hearings, and other meetings.
  • Facilitate meeting deadlines by managing multiple agendas and providing timely reminders.
  • Transmit legal correspondence to clients, witnesses, and opposing attorneys via electronic filing, mail, fax, or messenger.
  • Interact with clients.
  • Complete administrative forms, such as time cards and expense reports for supervising lawyers.
  • Receive and distribute incoming/outgoing mail.
  • Maintain and prepare indices for all client files.
  • Calendar all appointments, meetings, deadlines, and other important dates, and relay information to attorneys/paralegals as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three years of experience in a law firm.
  • Proficiency with Word and the MS Office suite of programs, and the ability to work with technology.
  • Familiarity with iManage, Macros, electronic document storage and transmission, document-management, and time-management software, Compulaw.
  • Experience with Best Authority, Sharefile, and CompareDocs.
  • Ability to type a minimum of 80 wpm.

Ella graduated from Loyola Marymount University in May of 2022 with a Bachelor’s in History and Spanish. As an undergraduate, Ella loved to learn about the intersectionality of the past and present through culture, law, language, and the arts.

Shortly after graduation, Ella moved to a small town in Spain, Segovia; about an hour outside of Madrid. She taught English in a classroom setting to elementary and middle school aged students across five small, rural pueblos. After moving back to LA a year later, Ella expressed an interest in recruiting and law, and was connected with Mitch. Ella looks forward to learning from Mitch about employment from the recruiting lens and values the professional expertise he has to offer.​
