Manage all facets of high-profile, complex litigation matters from inception through trial; supervise support case teams; perform cite checks and oversee court filings; coordinate and implement discovery plans and protocols; provide hands-on support managing large amounts of discovery; create and manage litigation databases; prepare chronologies and timelines; assist attorneys in preparation for depositions, pre-trial hearings, arbitrations, administrative hearings, and trials; and coordinate and provide overall trial support.
Specific eDiscovery responsibilities include:
- Creating new cases.
- Identifying, collecting, loading, and organizing client documents for review.
- Applying ECA, TAR, and other analytics to streamline document review process.
- Creating and supporting document review and production workflows.
- Establishing coding and issue fields and searching criteria.
- Conducting document searches and issue tagging of key documents in client and third-party productions.
- Identifying privileged communications, redacting documents for production, and preparing privilege logs.
- Reviewing, analyzing, Bates-labeling, producing, and maintaining ESI and other discovery documents in administrative and litigation matters.
- 1,600 billable hour requirement
Qualifications
- Ideal candidates should have 10 years’ combined experience (preferred) as an e-Discovery paralegal in complex business litigation and litigation support team management.
- Superior knowledge of technology and discovery database systems such as Court Alert, Relativity, Opus2, and Trial Director/OnCue required.
- Relativity Certified Administrator certification preferred but not required.
- Bachelor’s Degree or a Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved training program preferred.
- The individual should possess a high degree of attention to detail, organizational skills, and prioritization methods. Experience with commercial real estate and construction litigation preferred but not required.
